Located along I-90 in the Badlands of South Dakota, Firehenge has caught the attention of many travelers. This new roadside attraction features old firetrucks arranged vertically in a Stonehenge-formation and includes a smoke jumper airplane in the center.
By summer 2026, the plan is to include a gift shop at the Firehenge site for opportunities to purchase souvenirs and canned beer and wine from Firehouse Brewing Company’s selection.

Firehenge is a Monumental Destination of the 3rd kind coming in May 2026. According to official accounts, it was designed by extraterrestrial visitors as part of a long-term study of human behavior around art, landmarks, and shared public spaces. Researchers were especially interested in how people pause, explore, and enjoy a space together. Early observations suggest humans respond strongly to symmetry, unusual shapes, and chances to gather.
The site is designed for everyday moments. Travelers will be able to stop to stretch their legs, walk their dogs, take photos, or grab a refreshment. Firehenge celebrates creativity, curiosity, and connection — a place to pause, have fun, and experience something unexpected.
Doghenge is a giant circle of fire hydrants in the shape of a peace sign, made for dogs to explore, sniff, and socialize. According to extraterrestrial researchers, it was created to study canine behavior in communal spaces. Early observations show dogs are drawn to scent marking, sniffing, circling, and meeting other members of their species.
Doghenge is a playful, social spot for four-legged visitors — a place to sniff, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. It opens alongside Firehenge in May 2026.
